Louisiana State Police Troop C arrived at the accident on LA 311. A 34-year-old man from Thibodaux died at the scene, and his vehicle was destroyed. Troopers are unclear whether the man had been wearing a seat belt.

Louisiana man charged with negligent homicide after crash

A St. Rose man was apprehended on Dec. 31 in connection with a November 2014 car crash that killed his passenger. He has been charged with negligent homicide, reckless operation of a motor vehicle and driving without a seat belt.
